Salem Metal Promotes Jason Vining to President
Middleton, MA – July 1, 2009 – Salem Metal is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Vining to President of all company operations. Vining succeeds his father, Founder and former President Jim Vining – who will remain with Salem Metal as Executive Vice President, to carry on Salem Metal’s mission of delivering quality sheet metal fabrication with exceptional customer service at a fair and competitive price. Vining is tasked with the continued refinement of Salem’s manufacturing operations and service offerings to meet evolving customer needs.
Vining began his career with Salem Metal in high school as a production floor worker and cultivated his fabrication and business knowledge through college. Vining was appointed to Vice President in 1998 and since has undertaken several projects that have helped propel the company into the modern fabrication environment. “I am pleased with Jason’s professional growth and his strategic vision for the company. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership ability during his tenure as Vice President and I am confident he will take the business to the next level”, said Jim Vining, former President of Salem Metal. Prior to his promotion to President, Vining recently completed several key projects that will sustain the forty year old business well into the future. These projects included the implementation of an ERP system that automates and optimizes Salem’s business operations, as well as the recent overhaul of Salem’s website and online image to coincide with the company’s fortieth birthday. Vining is a graduate of Masconomet Regional High School and UMass Dartmouth with a B.S. in Management, a Certified Mitsubishi Laser Operator and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoys traveling, golfing, music and the Boston Red Sox.
